Lori from Savannah asked

Best areas for shopping in Orlando?

We will be escaping the theme parks for a day to do a little shopping with my sister and kids. Where are the best streets/areas in Orlando to do some shopping? Open to boutiques, malls, etc. and would love places we could also grab lunch with the kids!

Orlando (Florida)

Near International Dr (close to Universal Studios) there is a shopping mall called Prime Retail Not too far from there and close to Disney, there is another mall called Orlando Premium Outlets - International Dr. Great shopping, and food.

Hello Lori, I went to Orlando twice this year and I visited a few malls/shopping centers which for different reasons (cost vs quality) are the best: Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, Florida Mall, and The Mall at Millenia.  The Millenia is a bit expensive however I spent a few hours "window shopping" and at the end I found good deals. The other 2 stores offer excellent deals!!

I hope this helps!! Saludos!

A few miles away is the quaint town of Winter Park (Florida) and they have some great upscale shopping. You can stroll the cafes, grab some lunch and head to the shops down S Park Ave. There is a park there that has special events going on all the time. It's a a good place to let the kids run around and watch the trains as they pull into the station next to the park. You can check out some museums such as the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum Of American Art with its Tiffany Glass windows and Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens as well.

The Mall at Millenia Plaza Way is gorgeous. Very elegant and with every major name you could ever think of whether it’s Chanel or Anthropologie. There’s even a XXI Forever there. Great spot for people watching as well. I also love the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets where you can find some great bargains. Brunello Cucinelli, 7 for All Mankind, DVF, etc. etc. Pointe Orlando is nice, too and they have some interesting events going on.

If you have a chance, head to Winter Park, just a few minutes away from Orlando for upscale shopping. Its a quaint town with lots of shops and cafes you can check out while you stroll around the town. The main street for shopping is Park Ave, but here are museums and a nice park as well with activities for everyone.

The Mall at Millenia is probably the top pick for shopping in Orlando. It also has several dining options. The Orlando Premium Outlets - International Dr on International Drive are ok but stay clear if you aren't looking for a tourist scene. Another area to try is Park Ave in Winter Park (Florida). It has a lot of neat little shops, art galleries and restaurants.
