Must see places up the California coast into Oregon?

Planing to go next September for three weeks leaving from San Francisco and all around Oregon, where should we not miss?

Redwood National Park and the state parks around there are really cool. Don't miss the Oregon Caves in Cave Junction. Its a national monument and they do a great tour of the cave. There is also a great hotel just adjacent to the caves - that's the place to book for an overnight stay.

Florence (Oregon)  is along the coast and has some interesting sand dunes. Just walk around or rent one of the dune buggy things. On many beaches cars are allowed but you might need a 4x4.

Stop at Mo's Restaurant and eat seafood. There are a few up and down the coast. If you get as far north as Cannon Beach check out the galleries there or visit Ecola State Park. Actually, all of the Oregon State Parks are worth a visit.

Fires are allowed on most Oregon beaches, so be sure to pack some food, wine, chairs and firewood and spend an evening on the beach watching the sunset. That's the Oregon beach thing to do. If you have a kite then you have it made.

This is one of my favorite parks to visit in Northern California and just a short ride from San Francisco, along the gorgeous Hwy 1 coastline , Point Reyes.
