I'll be stopping by Oakland on my way back home to Oregon from LA. I'm looking for some can't miss places to eat. I will be there for 2 days and it doesn't have to be anything expensive!
I LOVE "T-Rex Restaurant & Bar"which is on the border of Berkeley and Oakland 1300 10th St just off Gilman Street....it's worth the drive !
Where do I begin!?
Bakesale Betty has the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had! They have a really good strawberry shortcake that you must indulge on.
Homeroom- hands down, the best mac and cheese options.
Zachary's Chicago Pizza- A classic Oakland spot, you have to go with their deep dish. Think...pizza pie.
Gordo Taqueria this is a go to spot whenever my friends and I are home. It's tradition and probably my favorite Mexican restaurant.
Cactus Taqueria I love Mexican food...can you tell? Cactus has the best crispy chicken and shrimp tacos you'll ever have.
Top Dog This is just a classic spot you have to check out if you want a late night bite to eat.
Kerry House Raj Indian Cuisine- best Indian food in the Bay
Noodle Theory- This is a good place on a cold day, they have really good soups.
Ici Ice Cream- This place is in Berkeley (right next to Oakland), and worth a visit. Out of all the ice cream places I have tried (which are A LOT) nothing compares. They always have the most unique flavors like rose mint, almond whiskey, and earl grey.
