Hello! I am traveling to Oslo, Norway for work the first week of May, and looking travel to a few other areas of the country for about 6 days after the work meetings. I am 30 year old gal traveling solo, looking to see the national parks, maybe so some glacier or ice cave hiking, and also looking to see Bergen and/or Lofoten Islands. Willing to take train, plane or automobile to cram as much in as I can in 6 days!
Any info is appreciated! Also any recommendations for places to stay. I've never been to Norway, is English pretty common across the country?
6 days isn't much, as you'll be using one day each way to Bergen. But then Bergen is the "gateway to the fjords", so I would try to take a boat trip out of Bergen to see a fjord. You could also try to check out the "norway in a nutshell" that can be done on the way to Bergen if you take the train.
