John w. Highlighted the cities nicely. Part of this region is fast becoming a wine region and there are several wineries that are most so if you enjoy wine. I don't think Bodega Bay has changed much since the movie The Birds, so if you've seen it you will recognize landmarks. Glass Beach is very cool and we go often but you do have to do a little walking and climbing to get down there. The other side of the beach is beautiful, wish I could send pictures. It too is very small city. It's not till you get to San Francisco that you can see and experience a real variety of sites, food, experiences. Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf is a must but don't forget the rest of the city.

Mentioned in this answer:

  1. Bodega Bay (city)
  2. Glass Beach (attraction)
  3. San Francisco (city)
  4. Pier 39 (attraction)
  5. Fisherman's Wharf (attraction)
