North Shore, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii

Hiking and exploring North Shore and Oahu

Going to be there for a week, staying in Honolulu, but have a Jeep to get to other side(s) of island.  Cool 3-10 mile hikes and excellent coast spots must be out there for those in the know.

Go to Haleiwa, great surf town, and make sure you eat at the shrimp trucks!

Hi Tim, if you want an fairly easy hike with a great view, try Diamond Head Crater Hike (you'll have an ocean view of waikiki), Koko Head (you'll see the beautiful hanauma bay from the top), Maunawili Falls Trail (1hr hike to the falls where you can swim) and if you're up for a challenge, try Stairway To Heaven (you need to be there before 3am because it's a restricted area. :D) or Olomana Trail (3 mountains and includes rock climbing; but don't go if it's raining).

Btw, don't forget to try the best shaved ice on the island Shimazu Store, and best hawaiian food restaurant Helena's Hawaiian Food. Enjoy your trip! God Bless. :)
