I'd really like to improve my Spanish language skills beyond tourist- and small-talk practicalities; so am going to bite the bullet with around 2 weeks language school followed by another 5/6 weeks independent travel in Nicaragua and (probably) Colombia.
I've found a few Nicaraguan language schools online, but would love to hear any recommendations?
I prefer to be located on a public transport network (for days/afternoons out), and where fellow students are a mix of age ranges. I land in Nicaragua in mid January.
Thanks in advance,
I've been thinking of doing something like this, and one place that I found is La Mariposa Spanish School & Eco-Hotel. It looks great and offers one-on-one instruction so you can really learn quickly. You can also take all kinds of other classes like government, etc. It's also relatively inexpensive. Aside from that, they also run an eco hotel, which is pretty cool and it looks to be a very communal environment. Worth looking into!
