There are two ways to get to New York City from Secaucus, bus or train.

The one-way bus fare is $3.20 and you can board Bus No 129 toward NEW YORK VIA UNION CITY & SECAUCUS PLZ from SECAUCUS JUNCTION. The bus will bring you straight to Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is only an avenue away from Times Square.

The one-way train fare is $4.00 and you can take any train going to Penn Station. The train will bring you to 34th Street, which a few blocks away from the heart of Times Square. I think the train is more comfortable.

Hi Donna - Yes, you can park your car at Secaucus Junction for about $20 for the whole day. I would also look on Groupon or similar sites for parking deals. Enjoy your day trip!

I don't know the name of the company but there are mini busses that leave from the side of Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd street & 8th avenue for all parts of NJ for dirt cheap. They are designed for commuters that work across the river. Arrive at Port of authority Bus Terminal at 42 Street and 8th Avenue and ask the information booth where you catch the min vans to and from Secaucus. There is also the New Jersey Transit Trains and bus options but can be a little pricy. Path Trains depart from 34th Street and 6th Avenue and you can get more info on njtransit.com

Talk the Jersey Transit Train to NYC and either walk from W 34th St or take a cab.
