I have never visited New York in October and November and I was wondering what the weather is like?
I am looking for low cost restaurants in the Village, East Village ,and surrounding areas.
Also looking at recommendations for late night dining that is not like a coffee shop more gourmet?
In my opinion it is the best time to visit the city. I have written a few stories on my blog in case you want to read them. The weather is cool, therefore, I always take my boots, my sneakers, a pair of jeans, a few sweaters, my jacket, an umbrella (just in case). A few excellent options for restaurants in my opinion The Spotted Pig, Shake Shack, Au Bon Pain, Serafina Meatpacking, Le Pain Quotidien, Le Pain Quotidien,
Ladurée, Tavern On The Green, Fresh & Co,Lombardi's Pizza, John's Pizzeria, eatery nyc, The Irish Pub.

NYC is beautiful in Oct . Temperature is usually , very comfortable in the 60s. We have been experiencing warmer temp the last few months though. NY is not like Europe. We dine earlier and most kitchens began closing down or are done by 10pm. The restaurant will usually be open for another hour or so.
Little Italy, in lower NYC and Hells kitchen area in mid town have many choices that are nice but not extremely expensive.

Nov especially late Nov can be cool but not too terrible
