Any recommendations of a nice sports bar to watch the super bowl?
I agree with Daniel, unless you want to be in that type of atmosphere with many screens and many people watching. Do you want loud and crowded or more tame and not necessarily football geared? Also, what neighborhood in Manhattan would you prefer? There are so many places that will be showing it whether they're a huge sports bar or a small restaurant with one or 2 tvs. If you do want a bonafide sports bar, there are still many options in Manhattan and every other borough.
Try Tenzan Tenzan on Columbus Ave. 3-4 60 inch flat screens. Full bar. Wonderful and varied menu, Japanese. No jerks.
Don't go to a sports bar. Go to an upscale and modern sushi or Thai place that has a bar with big screens. For real.
My best football watching experience in NYC was Mulholland's in Brooklyn. A variety of fans of different teams and just slightly rowdy but respectful crowd. Seemed to me like a place a lot of locals frequent.
