There are many rooftop bars in NYC depending on the scene and how much you are willing to pay. A few places in Midtown, West to East: The Press Lounge,  Latitude Bar & Loungeor Social Bar, Grill & LoungeThe SkylarkRefinery Hotel, Midtown 1015 and Pod 39

It is hard to find good pizza in Times Square, but John's of Times Square is delicious and the interior is charming with the former structure of a church (they are the same owners as John's Pizzeria) and Lazzara's Pizza Cafe has great thin crust pizza! If it is a slice of late night pizza, you cannot go wrong with 2 Bros. Pizza or Two Boots Hell's Kitchen

lol, there isn't really good pizza in times square. The best pizzas are downtown. Lombardi's on Spring St, John's Pizzeria on Bleecker St, and Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge on the Brooklyn side. I don't think I know of any rooftop bars in Times Square but the New York Marriott Marquis has a fabulous revolving bar at the top that has amazing views!!! Its a bit pricey so plan accordingly!

For great pizza, or great food, I would leave time square all together. It is very touristy and crowded. Instead head over to Herald Square. Check our Leña Latin Grill for Spanish or Waldy's Wood Fired Pizza & Penne for delicious pizza. If you want to stay in the Times Square area I recommend Organic Avenue.

With the exception of John's of Times Square , there is no good pizza in Times Square, and as a general rule Times Square is, culinarily, to be avoided at all costs.  As for rooftop bars, Gramercy Park Hotel has a great one.
