Looking for a swanky place to hang out post-theatre. Show is at the Belasco Theatre and we're staying at the NoMad. Any suggestions in the area?
Since you are staying at NoMad, 230 Fifth Rooftop Lounge should suffice. Has a heated rooftop bar. http://www.230-fifth.com
If you want more of a sit down hang with wine, food and ambience, then Marseille in Midtown is great.

Nearby the Belasco is a cute cocktail bar in the Edison Hotel, The Rum House. They have some snacks, but the draw's most certainly the drinks and live music. It's very old-timey and warm in feel. More swanky is Bar 44 At Royalton Hotel with a great open fireplace and fantastic drinks. The Andaz hotel, The Bar Downstairs has a great selection, as well, with an open kitchen, delicious cocktails, and really fantastic vibe. Very sophisticated. Sorry these are all hotel suggestions, but they're worth it for the ambiance and quality! Enjoy your time!

Check out Banc Cafe in Murray Hill. Fantastic place. Great food, great drinks and a great vibe.
Damn I miss that place !
Enjoy !
Bar Centrale. No signage and in a townhouse, but not trying to be a speakeasy. The bartenders are very good, classic cocktails made the right way. Small bites are delicious, especially the grilled bacon and cheese. Woman at the door is a bit of a pill, but after you're seated all is well. Nearly always some sort of celeb or Broadway star inside but people don't bother them.

I recommend Blue Fin. I went there for a birthday/pre-show dinner and really enjoyed it. Another swanky suggestion is Oasis Bar at W Hotel, though it may be too far from where you're staying.
Without a doubt, Casellula Cheese & Wine Cafe is my favorite. Also great is Ardesia wine bar and Kashkaval Garden
If you're looking for more than wine, try Valhalla
