A friend of mind is traveling in Canada for a month but is making a stop in New York, on the way through, for 3 & a half days.
He wants to make the most of it, without over doing it and being massively rushed.
He is staying at the Ameritania Hotel- 230 West 54th Street, New York City, NY 10019 - and would love to hear your suggestions for some things to see, places to dine etc whilst there! Bare in mind he's only there for a short while and doesn't want to be darting around all over the place, but is looking for some awesome things to do/see, be it traditionally 'touristy' or otherwise.
Budget is fairly flexible, especially if it's a 'must see'. He is travelling with his wife of over 30 years. The more detailed the answer, the better!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Three words: The Halal Guys. Best street food in the city, plus you can always ask the New Yorkers in front of and behind you in line what you should get into next :) Do as the New Yorkers do!
Here's where they can be found: http://thehalalguysny.com/location
1) Statue of Liberty on the Staten Island Ferry
2) Ground Zero
3) Wall St
7) Times Square
8) Broadway show (if time permits)

That sounds really fun! So nice of you to ask on your friend's behalf!
I submitted an answer for a day trip in NYC. Maybe that can inspire at least some ideas for great neighborhoods to see? :)
