Good Eats in Times Square?

I'm heading to NYC  and I want to know where I can find the best restaurants around Time Square?

"Good dining" and "Times Square" aren't usually found in the same sentence as it's filled with places like Applebees, Ruby Tuesday and a giant Red Lobster, so venture a few blocks west to Hell's Kitchen for a much better selection. And the Modern inside Museum of Modern Art is close and excellent.  Midtown East and West are also close, so check those out.  I always look on www.nymag.com 's restaurant search by neighborhood, check the "critic's pick" box and go by that.

Hello Alta! A few years ago I tried in Times Square  Becco, Italian restaurant that offers delicious Italian food at affordable prices. I ordered the Caesar salad ( one of their specialties) and the lasagna alla bolongnese. There is another restaurant pretty close to the Imperial Theatre named Juniors Bakery. It closes by 1:00 am which is ideal to have dinner after a show. Sandwiches, desserts (cheese cake) and soups (split pea) are delicious.

Hope this helps (and say hello to my fav city!).

If you would like a mix of flavors, check out City Kitchen they have everything from Tacos, Sushi and donuts from Dough! John's of Times Square and Shake Shackare across the street for pizza and burgers. Becco has great Italian options and a ton of Thai restaurants along 8th avenue.

I strongly suggest you get away from Times Square. You'll find much better food, ambiance and fun elsewhere. If you need to stay close, I suggest checking out Tout va bien (authentic French Bistro) or db Bistro Moderne (modern French upscale).
