Fun & free (or cheap) things to do & see with teens in Times Square? Have 24 hrs. and a very limited budget.
Just walking around Times Square is amazing. There is plenty to see continually. And it's free!
Hi Kelly,
Times Square is unfortunately one of the most expensive areas in Manhattan--it is probably the most-visited tourist destination spots in the city, which means that any activity or restaurant you choose is going to cost a lot of money.
However, the best part about visiting is that walking around is completely free. There is also a lot of free seating so you can relax and people-watch. Even antsy teenagers should be distracted by the variety of people and events going on in the area.
If you're looking for something more active, I would recommend heading to Union Square, which is a short subway ride away and the prices are much cheaper. Also, Central Park is only a few subway stops away and there's plenty to do when you're on a budget.
