Hello Leena. I suggest that you find out on the Natural Gourmet Institute. They not only train chefs but also offer outstanding training programs for people who loves cooking.

I loved it!!

Yes. 2 suggestions. Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) on West 23rd Street has great 1 session or multiple session courses - usually at night - for non culinary students. They are moving to downtown Manhattan in June, so depending when your trip is you could be impacted. I have taken an excellent 4 session (1 night per week) Asian cooking class there and a so-so 1 night Mexican cooking class. My advice would be if you do the 1 session classes, look for 1 designed by a specific, named instructor - not a TBA.

CAMAJE Bistro is a restaurant in the West Village with excellent classes. Mostly lead by the chef/owner Abigail, who is a great teacher with a really thorough understanding of food. All sorts of classes for all levels. Highly recommended.
