You’re in for a treat, Didier. Mulberry Street is close to everything hip in Soho.

My top picks for breakfast would be Jack's Wife Freda and Balthazar Restaurant Both are walkable from Mulberry Street. Jack’s Wife Freda is at 224 Lafayette Street, between Spring and Kenmare Streets. It opens at 8:30 a.m. daily, and the prices are reasonable for NYC. A Mediterranean breakfast of 2 eggs, salad, labne, avocado and pita bread is $13 (not including taxes and tips). A cup of espresso is $3.50.

Balthazar (80 Spring Street and corner of Crosby St) serves amazing croissant and coffee just like the French brasseries and cafés. Opens Monday to Friday at 8 a.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 p.m. I enjoy the ambiance and love the smell of coffee in the morning at Balthazar. A full English breakfast is $23. You get 2 eggs, bacon, beans, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes and fried bread.

A bowl of cappuccino is $6.50 (look at the photo attached) and one shot of espresso is $5.75. It is certainly not the cheapest place, but it’s a good place to experience breakfast in Soho NYC. The Balthazar Bakery located next door is where you can order from the to-go menu, giving you an option if you need a quick bite.

If you like dim sum, go to Nom Wah Tea Parlor on 13 Doyers St, and for the more authentic version where you may share a table with strangers, head over to Royal Seafoodon 103 Mott Street.

Ferrara Bakery & Cafeon Grand St between Mulbery and Mott dates from the 1850s and has wonderful expression drinks and Italian pastry baked on site. Balthazar Restaurant and Parm are both fun local places for dinner.
