Hola Andrew. The best at least to me is the take the AirTrain Newark Liberty International Airport to Penn Station, (take NJ Transit). It is pretty easy, safe and cheap. It arrives every 3 minutes from 5am to midnight. Check on the website however I remember you need to go from the airport station to Terminal C then A and finally to Station P2 ( you may purchase the tickets here).

Hope this helps!! Saludos

Train. Make sure you get off at Penn Station, which is underground - not Newark Penn Station, which has outdoor platforms.

Also, you want New Jersey Transit - not Amtrak which also stops on the track. Amtrak is much more expensive and clearly marked Amtrak all over the train.

There is actually an even cheaper way, but it is too much work - so do the Airtrain to NJ Transit to NY Penn Station.

You should take an Uber! I used one from Queens to LaGuardia Airport and it ended up being free. Use this code: phuongn205. You get $20 free ride! Enjoy!

Definitely the train! There is a NJTransit stop at Newark Airport. Take the New York bound train to New York Penn Station. The train shouldn't be too crowded, since you are doing the opposite commute.

There is a shuttle to Manhattan, but I don't know the price. If you need more comfortable, I think the best way is to take a taxi, maybe take you about 45 or 50 minutes from Newark to Manhattan downtown.

Take the New Jersey transit then transfer to the Airtrain which takes you directly to the airport.
