Which is the best Asian fusion restaurant in New York?
Sushi of Gari 46 it's not asian fusion per se.. But its a modern twist on sushi. The omakase is a bit on the expensive side but it is interesting.
Here is a pic from our experience there.
My favorite is Buddakan it's very good quality and nice presentation. The restaurant itself is beautiful but it is on the pricey side.
One of my favourites is Má Pêche in midtown where it's a variation on dim sum with some distinct European influences. There's a small number of dishes you can order direct from a menu, but don't miss out on choosing from the carts that get wheeled around. It's huge fun. Feel free to check out my blog entry on it: http://thefoodieworld.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/ma-peche-nyc-dim-sum-and-so-much-more.html
Try Momofuku Ssam Bar in East Village. David Chang is a fabulous chef.
Definitely hit Buddakan. Easily one of the nicest restaurants in the city. Go early and sip some champagne in the lounge so you can do some serious people watching. Make reservations in advance and request the main dinning room. Its stunning and surprising dramatic as you descend into it from above. Enjoy!
