New Orleans

What would you do with 3 hours in New Orleans?

What are the must see places in New Orleans which I can cover in 3 hours. I like to ride the StreetCar, Photograph the architecture and do lunch in a good Chinese restaurant. Any ideas?

Drive in to the French Quarter and park in the parking lot on Conti Street in between Chartres and Decatur.  Just around the corner are 2 great lunch choices in K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen and NOLA Restaurant.  Having just 3 hours in New Orleans and choosing to eat Chinese food should be punishable by death!

For dessert, get beignets and coffee at Café du Monde.  Walk down Royal St to see some great art galleries.  Walk down Bourbon Street to say you did it and see the partyers.

If time permits go to the balcony at Muriel's Jackson Square to take in Jackson Square.

Have fun!

Eating Chinese in NOLA is the equivalent of eating Cajun cuisine in Beijing!  For great architecture visit Jackson Square and walk down Royal St.

Yes a street car ride would be great but Chinese?  No!  Through Summer 2015 the St Charles Street Car is "disrupted" because of construction.  Normally it would be a cool ride.  Round trip is about hour, hour and a half.  Along the way you could stop at The Camellia Grill which is an iconic greasy spoon.  The waiters are a shoe onto themselves!  You could get a really good burger at Avenue Pub, amazing selection of beer to go with it.  If you want some good New Orleans red beans and rice, etc.. I would recommend Jacques-Imo's.  I cann't think of a good po-boy shop along the route but I would seek one out before the burgers.  You only have 3 hours so a little limited.  If you can get around a little more and want a Po Boy then I would recommend Jacques Imo's Po Boy shop Crabby Jack's. Or in the idea  that Po Boys are supposed to be cheap, Adams Street Grocery.  Other notable mentions would be Guy's Po-Boys and Magazine Po-boy & Sandwich Shop
