Kid friendly destinations in New Orleans?

I would like to spend a week in New Orleans with my husband and 5 year old daughter. What are the 5 best places to visit there that we could all enjoy? Time of year is flexible, but preferably not during Mardis Gras.

The The National WWII Museum is a very fun and interactive place to visit for kids. They just added a new exhibit, and it is truly incredible. The Audubon Zoo is very fun as well. The Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in The French Quarter is a great place for kids to visit too. New Orleans City Park could be fun if you brought a little picnic or you could rent bikes or something alone that line. Hope you enjoy your trip!

Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, Entergy IMAX Theatre & Audubon Aquarium of the Americas are great places for kids. All within walking distance of each other off Poydras St. Downtown

Avoid Bourbon Street at night! Lots of ruckus there and not suitable for young kids, in my opinion.

The French Quarter is a wonderful area to walk around with your family! There are a lot of shops with New Orleans inspired souvenirs.

The Garden District, New Orleans, LA is a beautiful, scenic area. You can walk around and peak at all those gorgeous houses that are so perfectly shaded by trees.

Audubon Zoo is always a good choice for kids!

If you feel like making a short trip (about 45 min outside of New Orleans) you can schedule a swamp tour Honey Island Swamp Tours! I had a great time, but bundle up if you're going in the winter months.

There is actually a Louisiana Children's Museum that is an educational museum for children. I've been told it is pretty fun!

Hope that helps, Andrea! New Orleans is such a fun town!
