I'm hoping to get some great shots in the Netherlands, but I'm not sure where to go. I love landscapes and people, so any recommendations on great locations would be awesome!
Hi Candace! If you are going to the Netherlands I imagine you will be stopping in Amsterdam at some point. There is a little town just outside of Amsterdam (maybe 30 minutes by car) called Edam. Really cute little place with adorable houses, canals, bicyclists, a dairy farm with a hilarious guy who makes clogs. Along the way to the town there are gorgeous green feilds sprinkled with cows.
It's the perfect half-day trip if you want something close to Amsterdam but need a break from the city.
Make sure you pay a visit to Kinderdijk with it's windmills. Definitely a must-visit for a photographer. If you like photographing wine vines, pay a visit to the Wijnhoeve de Kleine Schorre where there are some beautiful vines to photograph. Almost any city center offers great photo opportunities of the unique architecture, cities like Gouda, Delft, and Leiden have beautiful, but relatively compact centers. Take the bus between Gouda and Bodegraven for some beautiful water views at 's-Gravenbroek.
