Christa from Chicago asked

Hole in the wall BBQ restaurants in Nashville?

Where are the non-tourist BBQ joints in the city? Budget is open to all ratings. My boyfriend and I are foodies from Chicago, but love hole-the-wall joints.

The Peg Leg Porker BBQ is the best you'll find in Nashville. It's out of the typical tourist areas, and the "local favorite".

Get the BBQ nachos. They're infinitely more impressive and delicious than they sound.

My favorite is Peg Leg Porker BBQ in the Gulch.  Great ribs and wings.

Also try Center Point Barbecue in Hendersonville.

Honestly, barbecue is not what Nashville is known for. I would recommend a hot chicken place instead. Pepperfire Hot Chicken is my favorite.

Totally not answering your question, but I hope you're eating at the Cat Bird Seat?  If so, I'm sure Trevor would be more than happy to direct you to the right smoked meat spots.
