Will be staying in a luxury hotel for 1 night. Looking for some dinner recs, the best wineries (do people use drivers and car services???) and if a hot air balloon is worth it!
Depending on where your hotel is - couple stand out restaurants in Napa are
Angèle - wonderful food and service next to napa riverfront
Oenotri - italian downtown
Bistro Don Giovanni - old time hangout, winemakers and locals alike
Yountville
Bouchon
Redd
Bottega
Rutherford
Can never go wrong with Rutherford Grill
St. Helena
Press Restaurant
Goose & Gander - good food but service sometimes slow
Calistoga
JoLē
Solage Calistoga
The two three star Michelin restaurants in the valley are: The French Laundry - (difficult to get into, 60 day in advance reservations open up) or the Restaurant At Meadowood (a bit easier to get access)
Best wineries - that all depends.
If your looking for the premium of the premium that you might have a chance to get in without knowing someone try:
Brand
Araujo Estate Wines
Dana Estates
Meteor Vineyards
Gandona Estate
Seven Stones Winery
Great visits with very good wines and hospitality are:
Marston Vineyards
Arns Winery
A rare tasting if he is around is with Dick Petersen - for oh so many reasons. (Richard Grant Wine - is his label)
Drivers might help get one into certain wineries - but you certainly don't need a driver to explore the valley.
Hope this helps

In Napa, i love Frogs Leap Vineyard and Duckhorn Vineyards In sonoma county, i like VML winery and Truett Hurst Winery that is where i would spend a couple of days! Then if you head back to San Francisco on 101, stop at Lagunitas Brewing Company for a beer - thats an awesome spot!
