Hi All-
Looking for a couple of recommendations for family restaurants in mystic. Kids are somewhat picky and would probably stick to basics like chicken fingers, hamburgers, etc. However, wife and I would like some 'good seafood'. Any recommendations?
Regards
We really liked the Pita Spot and Anthony J's Bistro! Friendly service and great food! Stop by Mystic Ice Cream & Sweet Shop after for dessert :)

The Captain Daniel Packer Inne is probably your best bet, given what you've described--you can eat in the pub (crowded, but lots of interesting people) or upstairs in the restaurant. The Engine Room is another restaurant that does well by adults as well as kids; the setting is rustic but the food and menu are created with care--there's even an open kitchen where all can watch the action. It's not a place for seafood (there actually isn't one really good restaurant for all kinds of seafood.) If I needed a restaurant kids would like that also had a large seafood menu, I'd choose Go Fish Restaurant--just because it reliably checks off both of those boxes (and afterwards, you and the kids can walk off the meal in the Old Mystic Village, w/ its duck pond, gelato store, great cupcake place (Bleu Squid ), Alice In Wonderland tea room, etc. Also, Go Fish is across from the aquarium--and there's tons of parking. The Steak Loft is another place where it's relatively easy to take children. If you sit in the large lounge area, you can eat off the the "Quick Bites" menu which is a bargain. The fish and chips are good, the chicken fingers are, too -- and both offerings are LARGE. The Cowboy Burger from the regular menu is also very tasty.
