Looking for an awesome spot to watch the sunrise or sunset in Mumbai. Any suggestions?
You can drive on the Bandra - Worli Sea Link road especially at the time of sunset. Bandra stand can give beautiful views.

Hi Emily! Best places for sunsets and sunrises in Mumbai - Marine Dr Juhu Beach Powai Lake

Juhu Beach would be perfect. Also Marine Drive.
Hi Emily, I used to really enjoy strolling around Marine Drive at sunsets. You'll see locals there walking the boulevard and it's quite nice seeing the expanse of the bay open up. But it's still India so it's busy, noisy etc... I agree with what the others say about Juhu Beach, Bandra etc... - all nice places along the coast.
If you want to go fancy then there's The Dome - a rooftop bar on Marine Drive. Further north there's Hotel Sea Princess up in Juhu. They have a pool basically right on the beach, and as far as I can tell, the only place you can be in water and see the sunset at the same time.
For all the locations about sunsets, I didn't read anything about Sunrise. Since Bombay is a west facing coastal city, its difficult to find a great sunrise points. But.... there are a few.
1. Gateway of India , as the sea inlet faces east.
2. Powai... the lake from Hiranandani side also faces east.
3. Of course, who said the sun looks pretty only over the sea. There are innumerable city scapes that allow fantastic sunrise, if you're willing to go there.
There is an ancient Portuguese fort's ruins in an area named 'Bandra' Bandra Fort - This is in an upscale area, where there are many tourists or travellers visiting, mainly to see the famous Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan's home which is very close by. You can venture out on to the Fort itself, and stare into the Arabian Sea, and think about how the Portuguese had this as one of their main ports (Mahim Bay) in India. Once in the fort, you can look to your left, and see the now modern 'Worli' and the Bandra - Worli Sea Link bridge that connects two parts of land jutting around Mahim bay. It is a great place to get in a view of sunset. Make sure you have a good mode of transportation to get to this place, as it is a little remote, from many parts of Bombay, unless you're staying in Bandra.
Additionally, you can always go to Nariman Point or Marine Drivefor a great view of a setting sun. You can walk down the Promenade of Marine Drive, that is in South Mumbai, and many attractions in Bombay are in this area. Hope you have a great trip!

Hi Emily, you can get an amazing view from Bandrafort which is at the end of Bandstand. I'm sure you will love it.
It's a coastal city so there are plenty of options. Familiarise yourself with the waterfronts, there are some great rooftop bars along Marine Dr and near the The Taj Mahal Palace. Also some beach facing restaurants in Juhu. The beach facing bar at Novotel in Juhu is one option!

Mumbai isn't one of the best cities to watch Sun rise or Sunsets but if you really have to - Nariman Point is your best bet.
