Do check out the Play Clan Store on Hill Road in Bandra. Maybe that would interest you. Its a kitschy new art kind of a store.

Also, you might want to check out the open market that lines Colaba Causeway for some artsy trinkets and maybe even some collectible pieces. If you like antiques and memorabilia you might want to consider Chor Bazaar and Crawford Market

Check out www.mumbaiboss.com for recommendations of what is going on in the Mumbai Art Scene the time you are in Mumbai.

Bandra has some Pop Up Bazaars as well. For more info the MumbaiBoss people do a Mumbai Art Map every month that lists art exhibits and the general going ons. Available for pick up for free at a range of cafes and restaurants (Eg. Indigo Deli Moshe's Restaurant Salt Water Café)

Hi Courtney,

India is a crafts heaven and there are many stores in Bombay that will leave you spoilt for choice. Am listing a few of my favourites below:

  1. Check out two stores - Aquamarine and Curio Cottage for silver jewelry
  2. Anokhi(Waterfield Road) - for pretty Indian jewelry, clothes and accessories.
  3. DhoopDhoop in Khar West - (can't be missed) -  incense sticks, hand-made cards, key-chains, old antiquely-made games (chess etc), clothes, trinkets, lamps, home decor and other artifacts
  4. The Bombay Store is a one stop shop for Indian kitsch, lifestyle, home decor and jewelry.
  5. Your trip will be incomplete without a visit to Fab India at Kala Ghoda, famous for Indian ethnic wear and accessories. Pick a classy, comfortable, cotton kurta or sari from here.

Hope the list helped. :)
