14 days in mongolia

A party of 3 travelling to Mongolia. Any recommendations? We are looking at hiring a guide and renting a van to travel around. Gobi is a must!

We did a 7 days tour in Mongolia and it was the most beautiful trip! If you have 14 days, that's perfect! I'd love to go back one day to see more of Mongolia. It's huge, I think even within 14 days you won't be able to see everything, but it's definitely a good choice!

We hired a guide and a driver, organized by UB Guesthouse in Ulaanbaatar ( Their prices are a bit lower since they work with student tour guides. Professional agencies charge about 150$/day. We paid around 100$ per day (per person). It's not cheap, but it was definitely worth the money!

Just yesterday I published an article about our trip: (in German)

We didn't go to Gobi, but it's on my to-go list for the next visit! :)

You can book the tour upfront via email (we sent them our "wish list" and they prepared the itinerary). Or if you go to Mongolia in low season, you might get better prices when you just look for offers once you arrive in Ulaanbaatar.

Enjoy your trip!! :)

I really enjoyed the Erdene Zuu Monastery, it's beautiful. Also, Gorkhi Terelj National Park is a nice escape into nature.
