Hi Daphne,
I agree with Samantha. New Orleans is a great stopping point for food and sightseeing. When in New Orleans , you can do the following:
  • Visit Laffitte's Blacksmith Shop, America's oldest bar
  • Shop on Magazine Street
  • Eat beignets and drink coffee in Cafe du Monde
  • Stroll along Bourbon Street
  • Go on a culinary tour with GoNola

If you prefer smaller cities, check out Saint Martinville , known as "Le Petite Paris", located 2 hours west of New Orleans. Go for Cajun cuisine, the unique French and Creole history, and Evangeline Oak Park, site of the legendary Evangeline oak.

Mentioned in this answer:

  1. New Orleans (city)
  2. Saint Martinville (attraction)

New Orleans and Houston never disappoint! I visited NOLA last weekend and every place we ate was amazing and the french market is always nice. We watched the Saints game on a giant screen outside of the stadium with a big crowd it was a cool experience & it's free! Houstons Zoo lights is awesome if you have children and Houston has a ton of great breweries with cool food trucks if you enjoy beer.

1 thanks
