Heading to Miami on a girls trip and looking for areas, streets, and stores where we can find clothes, jewelry, etc.? We like designer brands, but also local designers or things unique to Miami. Restaurant tips welcome too :)
Hi Catherine,
South Beach has a lot of touristy shops as well as big brand shopping along Collins Ave, Washington Ave, and Lincoln Road.
You should definitely visit the Wynwood Art district which has tons of Galleries, amazing street art Wynwood Walls , some funky little shops, and great restaurants like Wynwood Kitchen & Bar
For lux brands visit the http://www.miamidesigndistrict.net/ and there are some great restaurants as well, my favorites are Mandolin Aegean Bistro, Michael's Genuine Food & Drink and Buena Vista Deli for brunch.
Here's the Miami Eater list with some more restaurant tips http://miami.eater.com/maps/best-miami-restaurants-38
Have Fun :-)

Hi Catherine, I totally agree with Karin. Additionally, not sure if you've visited Miami before but Aventura Mall is great and so is South Beach. In South Beach there's tons of shops on Collins Ave between 5th and 10th street. Lincoln Road is also fun.
As per restaurants, miamieater is a great website, so is Eater38. Check out their top restaurants in Miami. They are constantly updating based on social media chatter.

I can’t think of a better girls’ shopping trip than going to the Village of Merrick Park. I also can’t think of a store that’s not there—everything from Agent Provocateur to Burberry and anything you can think of in between. Try Brasserie Central for lunch. The Falls is nice, too but definitely a step down from the Village. I go there because there’s a great macaron store there called Le Macaron.
For something a little funkier, try the Design District. This is an amazing area full of art galleries and amazing stores. Marni, Marc Jacobs, Rick Owens, Valentino and my fave, Zadig & Voltaire. This area is actually worth two days if you have time. Try Campania Ristorante & Pizza for dinner.
Miami has some GREAT vintage stores and my favorite is C Madeleine's which has some amazing vintage pieces. I’ve seen Chanel there for pretty reasonable prices. Some great real vintage Lily Pulitzer dresses if you’re into that.

If you really want to shop high end designers go to Aventura or Bal Harbour. If you want a mix I would check out Dadeland Mall. They jus added a huge wing full or great restaurants so you can make it a girls day. Start at brunch, work up an appetite shopping and end the day with some drinks. Also Dadeland Mall is right next to the Metro station in case you wanna visit the Downtown Miami or Brickell areas for some nightlife.

Hi Catherine. One of the best options to me is Dolphin Mall. I remember that I stayed at the Courtyard Miami at Dolphin Mall and did not spent a penny renting a car o taking a cab. Just walked every morning to the mall and brought my shopping by myself! Another mall that I love is the Aventura Mall. I took the bus from Collins Ave where I stayed and it was pretty comfortable.
If you have time I would suggest to visit Bayside Marketplace and Village of Merrick Park (a bit expensive option but a must see shopping mall to visit).
Enjoy shopping!!
