Northside of the city very cool tapas like menu and great beer wines and cocktails is Naked For Satan, don't forget the roof top bar on good days naked in the sky.

Melbourne is awash with eating areas.

The Carlton ClubDOC Pizza & Mozzarella Bar or crenttis followed  by cake and coffee at brunettis. Look up Brunswick St Fitzroy for Vegie BarTransformer Fitzroy in Rose st this area has a good variety of vegetarian and vegan, Smith St nearby has Smith & Daughters ( veggie)  In the city Degraves Street and Flinders Lane are best areas

Im going to keep to keep this short and sweet and say GoGo Bar (Chin Chin) is a must.

Best time to go is during the week, you cant book here just walk in of the street.
