Madame Brussels (at the Eastern end of Bourke Street) is a quirky bar with a great terrace. It gets crowded early (particularly on weekends/Fridays) so stake your claim and be prepared for a session. There's also Siglo, on Spring Street, with a great view of Parliament House. For something luxe, try the The Lui Bar on top of the Rialto Building in Collins Street, or, if you're looking for something casual, The Boatbuilders Yard on the banks of the Yarra River has a great view back to the city. Grab a deck chair and watch the passing parade.

Without a doubt it has to be Madame Brussels A terrace bar that overlooks the city rooftops of Melbourne. Fabulous cocktails served in jugs all the while you sit in 1940s style garden furniture. Great for an afternoon in the sun or late at night. It's hidden away from the street but that is typical Melbourne.

Check out my post about Madame Brussels.
