I'm looking for something cool to have lunch / brunch in Manhattan Beach. Then typically for weekends, you could go on drinks / hanging out with friends / GF.
I love Simmzy's for lunch/brunch - they have good burgers, and during the weekend they make great sangria! I am a personal fan of the sangria with a red wine topper (other choices - champagne and white white). It gets really crowded during weekends, but I normally go and put my name in and hop over to Shellback Tavern for a quick drink at a dive bar overlooking the water.
North End Caffe is the best casual lunch in town! My friends who moved from this area still drive 30 mins from downtown to eat here twice a month!
MB Post is my favorite small plates spot - great for dinner. Their food is the best in Manhattan Beach.

MB Post without a doubt. Then, also good for lunch Tin Roof Bistro at Sepulveda & Rosecrans. Not on the beach but great food, craft beers & great vibe. For dinner, though, over in Hermosa Beach, Chef Melba's Bistro is a local gem with awesome food. For the best Bloody Mary in town, go for brunch to Kincaid'son the pier in Redondo.

For brunch, definitely MB Post. And don't miss the bacon cheddar biscuit.
Yes, Manhattan Beach does have a bunch of really good places, but if you are a Foodie, then you should consider David Lefevre's restaurant, MB Post. It's awesome and if you go for brunch, don't miss the Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits. (Fabulous, must better than the name sounds....)
Brunch at MB Post is only on the weekends. So for breakfast if it's near the pier, the only options are Ocean View Cafe , Uncle Bill's Pancake House, Le Pain Quotidien, and Shade Hotel. On the North end of town you have Four Daughters Kitchen, North End Caffe and Sloopy's. All great choices.

MB Post! Great brunch, great food, great drinks! One of the best restaurants in the South Bay.
For foodies, I'd go in this order:
1. Fishing with Dynamite - oysters/scallops/hamachi are off the hook (pun intended)
2. MB Post - same owner as #1. Great cocktails/wine and killer small plates. Don't be afraid to order biscuits and follow up with fried chicken.
3. Little Sister - not sure what their brunch/lunch looks like, but dinner is an explosion of asian fusion flavors
4. North End Caffe - more casual but proper breakfast/lunch options. A local fav.

MB Post is clean, scope it!
There are a lot of good options, but I'll stick with my favorites...
These places are all good for drinks too, but if you want a spot for creative cocktails, then I would recommend Circa (Circa).
Have fun!
