Can you travel and stay on a budget in Mancora?

Wondering if there are any shared hostels, or even a place to camp? I have a buddy doing the peace core close by and I want to visit. Wondering if this is a hidden paradise it seems to be? Any advice at all on Mancora?

There are many hostels in Mancora. Not sure about camping sites. It is a party surfing town. Depending on how good the waves are the traffic thru the town varies. Really good seafood restaurants litter the main road with cheap S./6-8 lunch specials. If you walk a little off the main road you'll find cheap market type grocery stores where you can buy food very frugally. Plenty of cheap street cart food available too. I didn't hesitate to try it all and never got sick once.

You can, the Misfit Hostel is a great cottage-y place right near the beach. We paid something around $11 a night.
