I'm going to Madrid on July 19th and am looking for some great foodie centric places to eat amazing food and drink great wine. Any suggestions?
Hi Chappy! In Madrid you can find a variety of culinary backgrounds in the restaurants. If you want to go to do some tapas I recommend: Mercado San Ildefonso(Fuencarral Street), Platea (near StreetXo) and Mercado de San Miguel (this one is mainly visited by tourists). If you have some budget to spend in food go to Amazonico, is expensive but is an experience. Somthing cute but not expensive: El Escondite de Villanueva. Also there is A LOT of restaurants and bars to try in the area of La Latina. About drinking wine, you can drink wine everywhere but i don´t have a place in mind to do that. In Mercado San Miguel there is a part where you can taste different wines depending on what you like. Enjoy Madrid!

In my opinion you can find the best "Tortilla de patatas" in Madrid in Juana La Loca , which is in the La Latina neighborhood.

Hi Chappy!
Restaurante - Vinoteca Moratin is small but cozy, exquisite dishes and good wine (they have wine cellar), you will need to book before.
Regards.
