Nanda from Portugal asked

How many days in Luxembourg city

Hi! I’ll be staying in Brussels for a few days and I want to go to Luxembourg City by train, but I’m not sure if one night is enough or should I stay 2 nights?

I won’t be visiting any other cities in the country, only the city of Luxembourg cause I won’t be driving. I heard the city is small so I was hoping one night (about one and a half day if you count in the trip) was enough. Or should I really stay more?

Thank you! :)

Brussels to Luxembourg City by train takes 3.5+ hours. Train times, details and fares on the official Belgian railway website in English:
https://www.belgiantrain.be/en
You can easily see all...or almost all... Luxembourg city's major historical sights & sites on foot within a day or so. The city is easy and safe to explore on foot.
So, unless you want to e.g. take a bus to one of Luxembourg's other settlements I suggest you stay just one night.
Get a train which arrives in Luxembourg around the time you can check into your accommodation and spend the rest of that day exploring. Use the morning and afternoon of the following day to see anything you missed then get a train back to Brussels in the mid-to-late afternoon. Train times, details and fares on the official Luxembourg railway website in English: https://www.cfl.lu/en-gb/
If you're staying in a hotel they may keep your bag for you after you've checked-out. If not, the railway station has a left luggage office. Times and rates in English on the official Luxembourg station website:
https://www.cfl.lu/en-gb/customerservices/detail/services-a-dans-les-gares#tab-3
Enjoy your visit! :-)
