Every year me and two buddies drive down to the derby. We usually camp Thursday night somewhere between Cincinnati and Louisville then wake up early to attend the Oaks Friday morning. We do some heavy day drinking and betting there then find the closest Marc's Feed Store to eat. Then we pass out for an hour or two and listen to some bands at Phoenix Hill Tavern. Then back to the track on derby day. This has been routine for years now...
I am looking for some new things to do this year. Bars? parties? places to stay? concerts? events? restaurants?
What are the best events/parties/bars for that Friday morning?
What are some cool things to see in Louisville? (doesn't have to involve drinking)
Anything cool in Cinci to do/see on the drive down?
Thank you!
The Renaissance Fun Park is great! There are many fun things to do. The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory sounds very interesting. The Frazier History Museum could be a liking to your group. If you visit Fourth Street Live, you will find some things to do there. The Louisville Zoo is phenomenon. I hope you have a fun time in Louisville! Enjoy!

Grab food and drinks on Vine St. in historic Over-the-Rhine in Cincy. Several great spots in that part of the city. Don't miss Rhinegeist Brewery a few blocks away.
You guys should check out the Muhammad Ali Center or the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. Enjoy yourselves!
