Are there travel restrictions as of May 7th to travel from state to state

Hi. I want to drive from Los Angeles to Miami, Florida to see my family. After searching online for ways to do this safely and efficiently, I came across this site. I would like to know if any one can advise on cost (food, hotels, gas, etc.), and if there are strict restrictions.

I was surprised that there was a border crossing gate checking for transportation of fruit on the interstate between CAL & AZ. We drove from Pensacola FLA to LA following the I10 with one fuel shortage issue. The stretch between El Paso and San Antonio is very long stop for fuel at every opertunity. You can't be sure you will get to the next fuel stop because of head winds killing your milage.
