Spencer
Los Angeles
I'm making a top-100 list of things to do in L.A., similar in scope to this on-going life list I have. It'll probably be more like a top 125 list, because I want to include things I've done, like Hollywood Bowl, the Greek, and so on. But I'm looking for inspiration. Think big, like hang gliding, to smaller things, like a particular meal (or cocktail) at a particular restaurant (or bar).
Hi Spencer,
The following are a few that come to mind:
1. Check out the view from the Griffith Observatory
2. Go to Malibu Beach
3. Get margaritas and handmade tortillas with queso fundido at Paco's Tacos
4. Eat catfish with blackbean sauce at Typhoon
5. Go for late night tacos in Downtown Los Angeles
6. Take a drive on Mulholland Drive
7. See a movie at the cemetery
8. Get crispy rice and a baked crab roll at KOI Restaurant
9. Get yellowtail with jalapeno at Nobu Los Angeles
10. Get french toast at Square One Dining
11. Go to Urth Caffe - this is LA as it gets
12. walk down Venice Beach Boardwalk
13. Go to Disneyland
14. Visit Universal Studios Hollywood
15. visit the Sunday Hollywood Farmers' Market
16. Go to the Farmers Market - this is the permanent one by the Grove
17. Get Randy's Donuts
18. Go to the The Getty Center
19. Walk along the Hollywood Walk of fame
20. Go to the LACMA
21. Cruise Sunset Blvd
22. Hike Runyon Canyon Park
Please share the list once your'e done if you dont mind. I'd love to see what you put together.

Hi Spencer!
That's a lofty question!
For specific food items, peruse Jonathan Gold's "99 Things to Eat in L.A. Before you Die" article. His last edition was written five years ago, but since so many classic SoCal restaurants are featured, many are still open and still serving. For example: Langer's Hot Pastrami; Kogi's Kalbi Taco; and Ivy's Corn Chowder (I'd recommend their chili too!).
I'd also add: Get scrubbed silly at a Korean spa.
Cheers,
Lanee
