What are the must-eat (and drink) food, dishes, and meals in L.A.?

So I'm working on an exhaustive Top 100/150 to-do list in L.A. (see original Trippy quest here). I have a lot of great activities on there, but want more in the way of specific dishes, foods, meals, and drinks to have at specific restaurants. Such as, order the big stack of pancakes at The Griddle Cafe. Things like that. Thanks!

Woo hoo I love this question!

North End Caffe in Manhattan Beach, go for their short rib hash and eggs. That's right, short rib hash. and. eggs.

Cafe Stella- They're doing great things with their spices. Go for the Moroccan eggs, you won't be disappointed.

Larchmont Bungalow- their red velvet pancakes are outttttta this world.

Huckleberry Cafe and Bakery- I'm not big on poached eggs, but their poached eggs over veggies with pesto is

Senor G's- deemed a "healthy" Mexican food joint, has the best veggie burrito. Ugh, veggie burritos, I know. I'm usually an al pastor kinda gal but there's something about the veg burritos here. OH and their salsa is notable. I always ask for a cup to take home and I usually hate spicy food (I have a very sensitive palate).

Philippe the Original- Known for their french dipped sandwiches, they literally melt in your mouth.

Happy hour/dinner:

Cinco- This place is super underrated and probably because it's a stomping ground for college kids but I love this bar. They have an awesome craft beer selection, they're super knowledgeable about their drinks and even make their own ginger beer. Bonus points for the fantastic music selection too.

Bacari PDR- My new favorite spot (but Cinco is still #1). They have the best happy hour options like 3 tapas style meals for 20 bucks (get the pork belly) and a great cocktail list. Their sangria is suuuuper refreshing.

Masa of Echo Park Bakery & Cafe- Their deep dish is the best i've had. The bread pudding is killer too.

Zinque- swanky little restaurant in Venice, not a huge fan of the food but they have a nice wine and cocktail list.

JINYA Ramen Bar- so dang good. Best ramen i've had here in LA

Finally (the best part) dessert:

Sweet Lady Jane Bakery- Typically not a pie person, but their apple pie is fantastic. Same goes for their oreo tiramisu. Always ask for whipped cream cause...why not?

Susina Bakery & Cafe- the mixed berry bread pudding. Nuff said.

Eggslut in Grand central market has incredibly long lines on weekend mornings.

Animal on 435 N Fairfax has been called a quintessential LA restaurant by many, and some food celebrities stop there on a regular basis whenever they're in town. It definitely is not vegetarian-friendly.

Gjelina with their respective take-away options is also very memorable.
