One of my favorite bars in all of L.A. is in Culver City, Blind Barber, which has a speakeasy feel to it. Best cocktail happy hour, in my opinion is Bigfoot Lodge West, which has classic cocktails, like Manhattans and Old-Fashioneds, for $5. Not to mention it's from 5-9 every single day. Further west, I love Cerveteca, which has a great food and drink selection for happy hour. They also have a Culver City location.

Happy Hour?!? Now we're talking!

Here are my two faves:

The Misfit Restaurant + Bar - oh, this place! I love it. They run their happy hour from 12 - 7 and you'll be looking at $5 beer and wine, and half-priced cocktails (half-priced means about $6). Why don't all bars run a 7 hour happy hour?!?

Mercado's weekday happy hour runs from 5 to 7pm and from 4 to 6pm on weekends and DAMN is their stuff tasty. The Hibiscus Marg ($8) is personal fave and the carnitas nachos...holy sh*t. The Dos Gringos tacos are just as amazing, plus the place always has a great vibe.

Happy Happy Hour'ing!

Hey Michelle!

One of my go-to happy hour spots is at Cinco. Fantastic beer selection and a really fun happy hour cocktail list! They play great music as well.

Bigfoot Lodge West is seriously Splash Mountain for adults. Great bar and awesome happy hour!

I would also check out City Tavern Culver City .They make a mean Moscow Mule here and have a great happy hour crowd.

Tavern Restaurant in Brentwood is one of the prettiest spots in LA with happy hour from 3 - 7 that's totally worth checking out. Cerveteca, as mentioned by Spencer, has one of the West Side's best happy hours. Very casual patio/bar dining, great tacos, mojitos, and margaritas! I also love The Upper West on Pico - their happy hour is everyday 5 - 7 and all night on Mondays - extensive menu + a great spot to watch a game, too!

This won't be a "Hey, look everyone, they're bringing out the limbo stick!" kind of Happy Hour (more like a "Let's grab a drink before we go to that screening!" kind of Happy Hour), but Coastat Shutters On the Beach has a Happy Hour from 4-7 Mon - Thurs. It's one of my most favorite places on earth--so pretty and elegant.

Two of my favorites are in Culver City, too. So, EAST of the 405 but not by much!

Kay 'n Dave's: Happy hour 4-7 EVERY DAY. $3 margaritas, beers, shots, sangria and more. They also have delicious happy hour food items. Plus free chips and salsa. It's a very American-Mexican restaurant, but I dig the happy hour vibe!

Oldfield's Liquor Room: It has an old school, classic bar vibe with GREAT cocktails. The bartenders are legit and the ingredients are too. They always have some new cocktails on the happy hour menu!

I also second Bigfoot Lodge West from Spencer's answer.

Not sure about their happy hour, but The Culver Hotel also makes a good cocktail surrounded by jazz/acoustics/swing music and a silent film on the wall!

Fig bar at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica has a fantastic happy hour menu (half off almost everything on the menu). Plus, you can take the drinks outside by the fireplace.

We just launched an app to help travelers save the places and events they want to remember for later:
