A nice road trip would be up the PCH. Excellent scenery, and this time of year, everything is a tad less expensive. Malibu, Santa Barbara San Simeon,Hearst Castle, Big Sur, Bixby Creek Bridge, Fishermans Wharf,Muir Woods National Monument are all REALLY interesting things to see along the way.To say nothing of San Fransisco. I did this 7 years ago with a bunch of friends on Motorcycles, it was definitely a memorable trip.

Los Angeles is like no other city when it comes to trails. We have trails right in the middle if the city. Here are 3 favorites:

- Runyon Canyon Park Entrance - Fuller Avenue

Uber over & you can hike for hours surrounded by gorgeous people.

- Topanga Canyon

Malibu Creek State Park

Find info online.

We have so many spas it's crazy! And tons at moderate prices. Try Blossom Spa Hollywoodon Highland in Hollywood. Superb!

Los Angeleshas a great park’s system with many beautiful trails. I suggest Will Rogers State Historic Park (Pacific Ocean views), Griffith Park Observatory Trails Peak( has the gene autry museum), Runyon Canyon Park Entrance - Fuller Avenue (actors like to hike there), and my favorite, the Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro, CA. Awesome Pacific views.

For $$ spa treatments, I would research Koreatown. . Don’t expect affordable spa experiences in Beverly Hills or major hotels.

Enjoy your vacation.

Palm Springs is a nice 2 to 3 hour drive from the LA area, definitely Spa friendly. Also Ojai is less than 2 hours if you want to do the real new Age mystical Spa type deal. Closer to home is Palos Verdes - very upscale.

I would check out the spa at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. Beyond beautiful in one of the most amazing parts of the country as far as I'm concerned. Also, La Quinta Inn & Suites LAX has one of the most incredible spas I've ever experienced.

While not really a spa, if you wanted to stay in the city, the Massage Therapy Center has insanely good masseuses. Hope that helps!
