Nice restaurant to celebrate birthday

Hey guys!

Am planning to celebrate my birthday in London at the end of the month. Can anyone recommend a nice place to eat at? Both for lunch or dinner if possible. Resto or eateries that are somewhat still affordable if ever and hopefully won’t require me to reserve a table.

Thanks in advance! :)

London is vast. You don't say where you will be based, or what you'll be doing on the day, so I'm going to assume you'll be somewhere in Central London.
'Affordable' varies from person to person so, again, I must assume that my idea of 'affordable' is roughly the same as yours.
Do look at pubs as well as restaurants. The vast majority of pubs offer good, affordable food for lunch as well as in the evening.
For either lunch or dinner I can personally recommend the Holly Bush in Hampstead Village:

The Crusting Pipe in Covent Garden:

and more here:

You could also think about lunch (sometimes evening meals too) at one of London's sights/sites: most of their eating places are accessible without having to pay any entrance fee (almost all museums are free anyway). The Cellarium at Westminster Abbey is lovely:

or you could try the cafe/restaurants at e.g. the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Tate Britain and more:

Borough Market and Camden Market have lots of eating options too.
Without knowing your base, your idea of 'affordable' or your cuisine preference (you can get anything you want in London!) it's pretty much impossible to suggest specific restaurants but you should find something suitable here:
