Nice, inexpensive place for English high tea in London?

Hello,

My mom and I will be visiting London (first time) in the beginning of September.  Can anyone suggest a nice place to spend an afternoon for English high tea? (Not too expensive places please) Thank you.

Not sure if this is still there, but Sketch has/had a service called Cream Tea, which is a light afternoon tea with scones, jellies, clotted cream and your choice of tea for £10 a person. Very reasonable considering this is a Michelin-star establishment. When I went I did not ask for refills so I'm unsure if they do refills. Best to call beforehand.

Ham Yard Hotel does a nice afternoon tea for just £19.50 a person and the setting is super cute! https://www.firmdalehotels.com/media/558346/ham-yard-afternoon-tea.pdf

Another recommendation I have is Brasserie Blanc - Charlotte Street. It's about £30-35 for two people and you can often find offers on lastminute.com or groupon.

I personally have not been to this one, but have read great reviews for the afternoon tea (with an Indian twist) at Cinnamon in Sohohttp://www.cinnamonsoho.com/Offers-CinnamonSoho It's £25 for two people or £12.50 for one.

Hope this helps!
