Nice place for breakfast (and lunch) in Alfama for a group

Hi fellow travellers! I'm going to Lisbon in May with a group of 16 people and I'm looking for a place in or near Alfama to have breakfast whereby we can preferably sit outside and is open as of 9AM. And something more than just a fried egg or croissant. I searched my ass of, but can't seem to find a suitable place that is open that early. Thereby also looking for a nice place to have lunch in Alfama, whereby again we would love to sit outside. Preferably Portuguese cuisine. Oh, and we are not on a budget ;-).

Just go outside your hotel and walk a litle. Lisbon is famous for the gastronomy and, you will find easely a lot of coffes and restaurants eagher to serv you the best portuguese food. What i wood recomend is, for dinner, for a group so big, to reserv dinner at night, spettialy in a restaurant with Fado, you cant miss it ;)

Hi Sabine,  Why does it have to be in the Alfama?  It is only a short walk from the Alfama (depending on where exactly you are staying) to the Rua Agusta where on this street - and just off it - there is an abundance of outdoor cafes to have breakfast that are open early and where you will experience the vibrant, eary morning atmosphere of Lisbon.  For lunch near the Alfama, why not check out John Malkovich's restaurant, Bica do Sapato.  By the way, they also offer brunch here.  Lisbon has many good restaurants but the majority are not in the Alfama.  The Barrio Alto Lisbon Chica La Maquina and Chiadois perhaps a better option.
