What is the best time of year to visit Lisbon, Portugal?
Without any doubts whatsoever: JUNE! Perfect month to see the city at its best, since in this month we have a whole month of street festivities in the historical centre, in honour of Saint Anthony, born in Lisbon. The whole historical centre is full of garlands and colourful decoration and you get to see Lisbon in its most typical state: people out on the street, enjoying grilled sardines on a piece of bread and pork sandwiches, that the residents of these neighborhoods are selling through their windows, everybody happy. The main day is the 12th of June, since the 13th is an official holiday in the district of Lisbon, being Saint Anthony's day. PS: June (normally) never disappoints weatherwise.
The best time of year to come to Lisbon will depend what you want to do.
If you want to walk and know the city streets, go to the beach nearby, visit the monuments and castles, you should come between June and September, because the weather is good, warm and peaceful. The rest of the year is cold and rainy, but you can enjoy the most of the culture places that the city offers.
I would recommend may, june or september.
Still nice weather but not as many crowds as july and august.
Spring, not too hot, and not too cold, around 22 degrees. Also you can see a lot of people in the street.
Another great time, is on 12 to 13 of june, the city day is at 13th so you'll see great traditions, street full of people and party everywhere.
Lisbon can be visited at any time of year, but it does not like cold prevents the city from November to February.
I Hope this helped a little bit, if you need to plan any other aspect of your trip, don´t hesitate to send me a e-mail.
