Best Bourbon stops on Kentucky Bourbon Trail

Considering doing the Kentucky Bourbon trail in early August.  Probably will only do 3 or 4 stops at distilleries so wondering which ones are best.  I like most bourbons so thinking more about the visitor experience of the different distilleries.

Also, how humid and sticky does Kentucky get in August?

Go to Woodford Reserve Distillery, Buffalo Trace Distillery, and Four Roses Distillery for sure. The Buffalo Trace has Pappy, which is the hardest bourbon in the US to get.

Also, yes it is humid in Kentucky in August. The best month to visit is October because of the Keeneland Horse Races and the weather is perfect.

Kentucky is unbearable in summer, unless you like saunas.

Late in Aug the evenings start cooling a little and can be pleasant.
