Are there free things to do in Vegas?

There are plenty of free things to do in Vegas. For one, there are plenty of hotels which warrant a wander, like Bellagio's Conservatory, the Canals at Venetian, the flamingos at Flamingo and more.

Downtown, hit up First Friday, every first Friday of the month, which gives you access to live entertainment, art galleries and more.

Although it is a desert, Vegas has plenty of outdoor activities you can enjoy. Head over to Lake Mead, Boulder City, Red Rock Canyon (there is an entrance fee if you actually want to go into the park) and Mt. Charleston to hike.

You can see Hoover Dam for free, but need to pay to take the tour.

If you want to go to a ghost town, there are two of them nearby, Bonnie Springs and Nelson. For more on Nelson, check out the post I wrote:

YES! Some great free things to do. There's really some fantastic outdoor free things to do, including some great hikes that are a little bit of a drive, such as Mount Charleston. During the summer months, at the Fremont Street Experience, they have free concerts on the weekends. Fuel, Hinder, Three Days Grace, Sister Hazel, and Third Eye Blind have all played. First Friday Last Vegas is a cool local thing to do, featuring artists, food trucks, live music. One of my favorite new free things is Downtown Container Park. It's an entertainment complex made completely out of shipping containers. A couple bars, restaurants, playground, shops. It's pretty awesome.

I wrote about these and a number of other things in this post on what to do off the Strip:

Hello Treasa. Of course there are a lot of free things to do in Las Vegas. As far as I remember, you have free access to every hotel where you will find different shows for free. For examples fountain show at Bellagio Hotel, volcano eruption at The Mirage, street performers at The Grand Canal Shoppes among many others. Just walk the Strip and admiring the amazing architecture of  every hotel or the scenic route at night, would make it an unforgettable trip! Enjoy it!!
