Judith from Chicago asked

Best opportunity to stay? Good deals and also buffets to eat?

Which is the cheapest way to stay for 4 nights in Las Vegas? Hotel? Air BnB or even couchsurfing? Shouldn't be tooo expensive and not tooo messy. Other than that any recommendations for discounts you could use? And are there any food specials like buffets you can recommend? Uh... a lot of questions?

I just went to Vegas in November of 2015 for the first time. My advice is to never pay full price for anything. There are coupon book the hotels will give out if you ask for them. Tixs4tonight have great show, attraction and dining discounts. Don't be afraid to go into a convenience store on the strip for really cheap tallboy beers to drink while walking the strip. Use buy one, get one cards all the restaurants pass out on the strip too. There is big competition for where to eat. There are a lot of great happy hour deals if you do your research. All the hotels have some type of free attraction to see. If you book during the week, hotels are pretty cheap. They give decent incentives to book through their website directly such as $25 drink voucher or 2 free buffet passes. Otherwise I suggest using Trivago to see what site is offering the hotel cheapest. It seemed Sunday nights the prices were lowest. There are very few hotels that don't have the ridiculous "resort fee" that could be up to an additional $32 per day! Watch out for that.

Hi,

Check on the Expedia.com website and you surely find discounted prices.

All the hotels in the old Las Vegas are cheapest than on the modern Strip side but you can have good ones in the oldest hotels of the modern Strip too. For example at the Flamingo Las Vegas  or Circus Circus Hotel & Casino.

Have a good time.

I love AirBnB but not for Vegas.  Most of the places are off strip which will increase your travel times and travel costs and you'll lose the true Vegas feel and vibe.  If you really want to go as cheap as possible look for the discount hotels that are on the strip.  Luxor Hotel and Casino, Excalibur, Tropicana Las Vegas, Circus Circus Hotel & CasinoStratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower are usually among the cheapest with the first 3 being my preference because of their better location.  You can go to Freemont Street and find some cheap options but I prefer center strip

Call Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall. Free Shuttle to Las Vegas Strip and Downtown til 10pm. It has good rates Sunday - Thursday. Good buffet and food court. Go hang out at The LINQ Hotel, Casino, & Entertainment District. Gamble at Flamingo Las Vegas. Texas Hold em 10am at MGM Grand Las Vegas.
