What are the best places to stay in Lagos (Nigeria), safe, inexpensive, and with reliable electricity? I am planning a trip for two in a few weeks.

From a foodies perspective, I would strongly suggest seeking out street vendors who prepare "Suya" (spicy grilled beef kabobs), and trying some of the local soups with groundnut (peanuts) and "fufu" (pounded yam).
I wasn't a fan of the soups with okra (consistency issues) but they are all delicious.
The fresh, local mangoes are amazing, too!
I stayed at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Lagos, V.I.. It was a clean place and a really friendly staff.
